01 / The story
From LAN parties to a Sheffield workshop
In 2010, we started building PCs for friends before LAN events, fixing the overheating, noisy machines that spoiled tournament nights. A cramped spare room on High Lane became a proper workshop in 2018.
That experience shaped how Blackwell's Builds works today. We source parts around the actual games, explain every choice in plain English, then test the finished system before it reaches your desk.
That is the standard.

Our workshop is in High Lane, S12 3XH. Appointments are arranged around your build, with collection available locally and insured delivery across the UK.
We understand small desks in Sheffield Hallam and University of Sheffield accommodation, as well as the demands of local esports clubs, LAN events and home offices.
